Our mission is to create inquiry-based experiences that transform learning worldwide. The August Wilson Center for African American Culture engages regional and national audiences in its mission of preserving, presenting, interpreting, celebrating and shaping the art, culture and history of African Americans, utilizing the rich history, legacy and culture of African-Americans from Western Pennsylvania as a foundation. Donations from people like you helped the August Wilson Center complete the construction of a magnificent cultural facility in Downtown Pittsburgh's Cultural District! Now that our doors are open, your support is needed more than ever to help The Center become a premier destination for experiencing African American history and culture, literary arts, dance, music, theater and a broad range of cultivation events and programs. 

Wheaton Arts And Cultural Center's Mission Is To Engage Artists And Audiences In An Evolving Exploration Of Creativity. Primary Programs Are Presented By The Center's Museum Of American Glass, Down Jersey Folklife Center, Creative Glass Center Of America, And The Center's Public Access Studios. Education Programs Serve A Broad Range Of Adults And Children, Many From Underserved Communities.

With a minimal budget of grants and donations, we have become a gathering site for students, artists and volunteers with all kinds of skills to restore the: 1876 log cabin,1873-1904 farmhouse,1913 early curio natural history roadside museum cabin, which may date back to the early 1880's,1898 barn, and we are also trying to preserve 130 years of books, letters, journals, receipts, photographs, artifacts into an accessible on site and online library.
