RI provides emergency relief, rehabilitation and development assistance to victims of natural disasters and civil conflicts worldwide. RI's programs bridge the gap between immediate and long-term community development. This orientation promotes self-reliance and the peaceful reintegration of populations. RI's programs are designed with the input and participation of target beneficiary groups such as women, children and the elderly, whose special needs are often neglected in disasters.

The mission of the Foundation for Post Conflict Development (FPCD) is to fulfill the SDGs: eradicate extreme poverty; achieve universal primary education; promote gender equality and empower women; reduce child mortality; improve maternal health; combat HIV/AIDS, malaria, and other infectious diseases; ensure environmental sustainability; develop a global partnerships.  Through direct education, action and development or the promotion of a global partnership for such efforts, the FPCD is dedicated to assist post conflict countries with projects necessary for their reconstruction, among them the demobilization /disbanding of child soldiers, reintegration of war veterans, the creation of meaningful employment and cultural preservation.

Sewa International is a Hindu faith-based, humanitarian, nonprofit service organization registered under Internal Revenue Code 501 (c) (3). Founded in 2003, Sewa International is part of a larger movement that started in India in 1989 and has currently spread to 20 countries. Sewa serves humanity irrespective of race, color, religion, gender or nationality. We specialize in disaster relief and rehabilitation. Our development programs focus on family services; child, tribal and refugee welfare; women empowerment; health; and education. In addition to the US, we conduct development projects in Columbia, Guyana, India, Kenya, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Sewa’s volunteers are energetic, inspiring, selfless, and committed.

The Calgary Food Bank is a food distribution hub. We provide quality emergency food directly to Calgarians to meet their individual needs (prenatal, homeless, households with children, etc). We also collect food donations for distribution to other charities (including the Mustard Seed, the Community Kitchen Program of Calgary, the Salvation Army and women’s shelters).

The Humanity Funds engages in targeted humanitarian relief in global crisis situations. It operates through local partners that are chosen for their reliability, ethical standards and proven accomplishments. Each such organization is visited in-person and held accountable for any funds or assistance received from The Humanity Funds. The focus in 2022 has been on the critical situation in Ukraine. This focus will continue in 2023 as The Humanity Funds explores the possibility of also advancing education of girls and women in Afghanistan.

The Women’s Centre of Calgary is a unique, street-front organization that provides a variety of services and opportunities to the women of Calgary. Our mission is to be every woman’s place for support,connections and community. Our vision is women supporting communities, communities supporting women. The Women’s Centre is a safe place for women to: • get assistance • connect with others • work for change

Women's Centers International (WCI) creates safe community-based Centers that provide access to integrated training, support and capital, enabling women to build more prosperous families and communities informed by women's priorities.

Scarborough Women's Centre provides information, education and support to women in transition away from abuse, isolation and poverty, towards economic and emotional independence. The Centre was recognized with the City of Toronto Mayor's Community Safety Award for its work with abused women and their children. Women from many different backgrounds, enrich each other through their experiences. Here are some examples of what your donation can do: $50 - one woman builds her self confidence through an 8 week group $150 - 12 women learn to improve their health through a special workshop $200 -two volunteers train as mentors with women in transition $500.00 – one woman supported to achieve her goal to leave abuse through 3 months of counselling $1,000 - 20 women develop personal strategies for success through an 8 week course The Centre raises 1/2 of its income from fundraising activities. Shelter: • 25-bed emergency shelter for abused women and their children • Receive support, counselling and referrals to community services, such as legal aid, subsidized childcare, subsidized housing, welfare, language and job training, employment counselling • Child and Youth counsellors work with the children to address the effects of witnessing abuse Outreach: • crisis counselling and individual counselling for women and children, small group work for women and girls, drop-in services, transitional support, housing support, advocacy and much more

MADRE's mission is to advance women's human rights by meeting urgent needs in communities and building lasting solutions to the crises women face. MADRE's vision is enacted with an understanding of the inter-relationships between the various issues we address and by a commitment to working in partnership with women at the local, regional and international levels who share our goals.

WIZO, founded in 1920, is an international organization of volunteers working to improve the lives of women, children, and the elderly living in Israel. WIZO's members work to support over 800 WIZO programs in Israel, including child care centers, schools, shelters for battered women and girls in distress, and services for the elderly. WIZO USA, established in 1982, is a membership organization whose primary focus is supporting its WIZO projects in Israel. WIZO USA aims to strengthen the bond between Israel and American Jewry by promoting Jewish identity and education. Since 1959, WIZO is recognized by the United Nations as a non-governmental organization with consultative status at the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and the United Nations Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF).
