Richmond Peace Education Center

Since 1980, the Richmond Peace Education Center has been an unwavering voice for peaceful conflict resolution, social justice, and nonviolent social change in the Richmond, Virginia region. Over the years the center has evolved, developing new programs and areas of focus to meet new concerns. Today the Richmond Peace Education Center is working actively to build a more peaceful and just community and world. Through its workshops, public events, youth programs, and conflict resolution training, RPEC is making a difference in the region. In the past two years alone, the center has organized or co-sponsored nearly 100 events and programs involving thousands of participants, and its impact is growing. From the beginning, RPEC has been a grassroots, member-supported organization. We simply could not do what we do without the participation and support of community members like you. The mission of Stand for Children is to ensure that all children, regardless of their background, graduate from high school prepared for, and with access to, a college education. We believe all children deserve an equal opportunity to succeed in life. Education is the key that unlocks the door to success but far too many children, through no fault of their own, aren't getting the education they need to make it in life.

St. Marys Center For Women And Children

St. Mary's Center for Women and Children offers innovative and family-centered programs for women and children who have experienced trauma and are living in poverty. Placing families at the center of our efforts, St. Mary's Center works in partnership with young women, many of them mothers, to break the intergenerational cycle of poverty and achieve lasting, powerful change by building their emotional well-being, educational achievements, and economic independence. Located in Uphams Corner in Dorchester, Massachusetts, St. Mary's Center supports 600 women and children annually with shelter, clinical and educational services, job training, employment placement, and search for affordable permanent housing.

Citizens Committee for Children of New York

Since 1944, Citizens' Committee for Children of New York, Inc. (CCC) has convened, informed and mobilized New Yorkers to make the city a better place for children. CCC's approach to child advocacy is fact-based and combines the best features of public policy advocacy with a tradition of citizen activism. Casting light on the issues, engaging allies, fueling civic discourse, identifying improvements and envisioning alternatives has helped CCC make children a priority in New York City.

Fernside Inc A Center for Grieving Children

Founded in 1986, Fernside offers support and advocacy to grieving families who have experienced a death. Fernside offers peer support for grieving families-children, teens and adults and works to increase community awareness of grief issues through community outreach.

Children With Diabetes Camp Of Central Texas

The mission of Children’s Diabetes Camp of Central Texas is to support and advise Camp Bluebonnet, Bluebonnet Buds Day, Bluebonnet Bigs Day, and CIT Day so that volunteers may provide a safe camp experience that accommodates the unique health needs of both kids and adults who have diabetes. Camp Bluebonnet is our longest running program. It is a week long day camp available to kids who have diabetes and who are going into grades 1-12. Kids who have graduated, but have not yet turned 18 can come back for an additional summer. We love to have former campers who have turned 18 serve as volunteers. We accept siblings to Camp Bluebonnet on a limited basis. We hold camp at Peaceable Kingdom Retreat for Children each summer during the third full week of June.
