Calculated Genius is working to change the face of engineering. Founded by Black engineer and entrepreneur, Kimberly Moore, we provide scholarships to young women pursuing engineering and computer science degrees at the collegiate level.
In 2020, we awarded fifteen (15) scholarships to college-bound women from the Chicago metropolitan area majoring in science, technology, engineering or math!
In 2021, we provided scholarships to seventeen (17) Chicagoland area women majoring in engineering or computer science in college! You can learn about all the awardees here: https://www.calculatedgenius.org/latest-news/2021-steminist-scholars
We are looking to raise a total of $40,000 in 2022 to fund the Class of 2022 STEMINIST Scholarships. Please support our effort to help close the gender gap and support more women on their path to succeed in STEM.
Scholarships of $1,000, $2,000 and $5,000 are provided along with mentorship and career readiness support. Learn more about the program and last year's recipients here: https://www.calculatedgenius.org/scholarships
