Pledge to make a difference, together.
Centro Mexicano Alzheimer (CMA) is a non-profit organization, pioneer, and innovator in mental health care in Mexico. Through an interdisciplinary team, and with a deep human sense, we support people with dementia, family members and caregivers online and in person with drug-free therapies. The non-drug therapy applied is a scientific German model adapted to the Latin American context called MAKS. The multicomponent MAKS group intervention (standing for Motor stimulation, Activities of daily living stimulation, Cognitive and Social stimulation) is scientifically approved for its effectiveness on psychological symptoms in people with mild to moderate dementia. Centro Mexicano Alzheimer is a member of the Global HelpAge International Network, a global alliance that defends the rights of older people with 171 member organizations in 90 countries. We work closely with HelpAge International to support the needs and rights of older people in Mexico. Mission: Transform with human meaning the lives of people with dementia and their families towards inclusion and the exercise of their rights. Vision: To be a world leader in raising awareness about dementia and innovating its treatment and prevention.
