The Marsha P Johnson Institute protects and defends the human rights of Black transgender people through organizing, advocating, creating an intentional community to heal, developing transformative leadership, and promoting collective power. Their intention is to reclaim Marsha P. Johnson and their relationship as Black trans people to her life and legacy. They were founded in response to the murders of Black trans women and women of color and how it is connected to their exclusion from social justice issues including racial, gender, reproductive rights, and gun violence.

The Jewish Women’s Archive documents Jewish women’s stories, elevates their voices, and inspires them to be agents of change. The Jewish Women’s Archive is an international organization dedicated to collecting and promoting the extraordinary stories of Jewish women. JWA explores the past as a framework for understanding the pressing issues of our time; inspires young people with remarkable role models; and uses Jewish women’s stories to excite people to see themselves as agents of change. Our website is the world’s largest collection of information on Jewish women, and draws more than 3 million visitors a year seeking information, inspiration, community, and a sense of identity. We envision a global culture shift, powered by impact film, in which communities and institutions believe in the value of gender equality, and adapt their behaviors and actions to support systematic advancement of girls’ and women’s rights.

Black Women’s Blueprint, Inc. is a civil and human rights organization of women and men. Our purpose is to take action to secure social, political and economic equality in American society now. We work to develop a culture where African-American women are fully empowered and where gender, race and other disparities are erased. We engage in progressive research, historical documentation, support movement building and organize for social justice steeped in the struggles of African-American women within their own communities and within dominant culture.
