Theatre Workshop of Nantucket is a community-based theatre that promotes the unification and participation of community through theatrical performances that inform, explore, and celebrate the human spirit. To achieve this mission, TWN produces, presents, and develops programs that foster community participation of both adults and children; builds and maintains an organizational capacity and secures and maintains facilities necessary to support our programs.

IAPF works with its clients and partners across a wide range of efforts, including youth education and arts training, gender equality, poverty reduction, ending human trafficking, feeding the homeless, health and well being, and economic empowerment through job placement and entrepreneurship training. Primary Source promotes history and humanities education by connecting educators to people and cultures throughout the world. In partnership with teachers, scholars and the broader community, Primary Source provides learning opportunities and curriculum materials for K-12 educators. By introducing global content, Primary Source shapes the way teachers and students learn, so that their knowledge is deeper and their thinking is flexible and given to inquiry.

The museum's official mission statement is "Where stories of military and civilian aviation and March Field come alive." This mission is typically expressed (in publicity, marketing, and internal training materials) as "The March Field Air Museum is a nonprofit educational institution dedicated to promoting an understanding of humanity's reach for the skies and March Field's pivotal role in the development of flight." The museum's slogan is "Reach for the Skies!"

Founded in Washington, DC in 1980, we have become a pioneer in the theatrical field, fiercely pursuing our unique mission: “To ignite an explosive engagement between theatre artists and the community by developing, producing, and promoting new plays that explore the edges of theatrical style and human experience, and by implementing new ways to use the artistry of theatre to serve the people of Greater Washington, DC.”

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, serves as a welcoming and inclusive place for all people, connecting the communities of Houston with diverse histories of art spanning 5,000 years and six continents. Through our permanent collections, special exhibitions, learning and interpretation programs, studio instruction, publications, conservation, and scholarly research, we strive to inspire appreciation and understanding of the broadest spectrum of human achievement.

HOW WE DO IT Our dedicated volunteer chorus partners with the world’s most talented, multi-disciplinary artists to create exceptional presentations that cross genres and promote deeper engagement with our audiences. We revive neglected masterpieces, energize the traditional repertoire through innovative collaborations, and commission new works on timely topics. We draw upon the rich diversity within our community to inspire us artistically and help guide us as members of our board, chorus, and staff. WHY WE DO IT (OUR VALUES) We believe that – as our founder Robert Shaw wrote in 1941 – “beautiful music is not the privilege of a few, but a necessity of us all.” We believe the human voice raised in communal song has a unique power to unite and inspire the best in all of us. We believe that working together toward artistic excellence can lift the human spirit and foster stronger interpersonal connections. We believe it is our responsibility to create art that is relevant to and resonates with our many audiences, bringing together voices from all backgrounds and walks of life. We believe in keeping our art form vibrant by engaging and involving the next generation of singers, creative artists, and audiences.

Every year, The Book Truck gives thousands of free books to foster care and low-income teens throughout Los Angeles. Our programming is designed to encourage even the most reluctant readers: we carry the books that teens want the most and staff our truck with a diverse group of trained teen volunteers who make informed book recommendations to their peers and help them select the "right" book. Our mission is to break the cycle of poverty by increasing literacy skills among underserved teens.

Mission Statement: "By preserving a history of struggle, we will educate and empower individuals to become agents of change in their own communities." The CPMCC is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to focus on the exhibition, research, interpretation, and collection of contemporary and traditional Art, History, and Science, along with providing cultural events, activities, programming, and services. While the CPMCC had its grand opening in the fall of 2022, it had been in concept for over 30 years. It came to fruition through community struggle for the rights to the building where it now resides.
