SAAF Mission Statement: Our purpose is to promote the betterment of the lives African Americans. We fulfill our mission by offering workshops, programs and outreach campaigns. We emphasize biblical teachings and God's Plan for our lives. Although our services are open to everyone, basically our programs are designed for African Americans. Why? Statistics show that African Americans are more at risk than any other culture group in this country in every major category of life. Whether its health, divorce rate, out of wedlock births, poverty or single headed households, African Americans are well below the national averages. A large number of African Americans profess to be practicing Christians, and are passionate about their faith. Saving African American Families is committed to calling our culture back to blending our faith into our family life, marriage, health as well as everyday living. We offer education, training and awareness in the following areas to support our goals: Marriage Education Marriage Enhancement Pre-Marital Education Healthy Relationships and Lifestyles Family Finances Effective Parenting Strengthening the Family Family Health and Wellness Responsible Fatherhood We partner with churches, other faith based organizations, community and businesses to provide education and information to strengthen our families and in turn benefits our entire community. NONPROFIT EDUCATIONAL MUSEUM

Founded in 1976, the African American Museum in Philadelphia (AAMP) collects and preserves art and artifacts and, through exhibitions and programs, interprets the history and stories of African Americans and those of the African Diaspora. AAMP enriches the lives of all visitors, especially children and youth, using education to empower them through experiences that will enlighten them culturally and intellectually. It is a gathering place for the community, a forum for broader community engagement and a partner for collaborations with historical and cultural institutions.

The African-American Museum of Bucks County promotes understanding and appreciation of the African-American experience, focusing on: - Historical information about the African-American legacy, from our African roots to the present day. - Educational programs which demonstrate the importance of African American history and culture to everyone. - Contributions that show the diverse journeys African Americans have made in the fields of Art, culture, politics, sports, and other areas.

The mission of the Houston Museum of African American Culture is to collect, conserve, explore, interpret, and exhibit the material and intellectual culture of Africans and African Americans in Houston, the state of Texas, the southwest and the African Diaspora for current and future generations

The DuSable Museum of African American History is a Chicago community institution and the first non-profit Museum dedicated to the collection, documentation, preservation, study and the dissemination of the history and culture of Africans and African Americans. As an educational institution, DuSable attracts school groups from Chicago and surrounding areas. More than 100,000 visitors attend or utilize the facility yearly. Through exhibits, educational programs, the archives, and special activities, the Museum continuously explores the African American experience and accomplishments of the past and present to further advance the education of the future.

To educate the world, preserve the legacy, and celebrate the central role African Americans play in creating the American soundtrack.

The mission of the African American Civil War Museum is to correct a great wrong in history that largely ignored the enormous contributions of the 209,145 members of the United States Colored Troops. It tells the stories and preserves for posterity the historic roles these brave men of African, European, and Hispanic descent played in ending slavery and keeping America united under one flag. The Museum uses a rich collection of artifacts, documents, primary sources and technology to create a meaningful learning experience for families, students, Civil War enthusiasts and historians about the period from the American Civil War to Civil Rights and beyond.

The name Azubuike, when translated, means, “The past is our strength.” The history of our organization predates the official incorporation in October of 2014. Ours is a collective story, we the founders have gathered all our years of experience as community members, activists, artist, educators, writers, mentors, and our passion for helping youth & community, into one entity of service, the Azubuike African American Council for The Arts! Azubuike’s Mission is to reconcile the racial divides that exist in our community by giving at-risk youth a voice to express themselves, be heard without bias, and spark a much larger conversation about race relations in the Quad Cities through the Arts. Our Vision is to use the Arts to help us understand our past, show us how to shape our future, while telling a compelling story about why our lives matter.

The American Theatre Wing advances the future of American theatre by celebrating excellence and nurturing the next generation: on stage, behind the scenes, and in the audience. We pursue this mission through programs that support theatrical excellence and inclusivity, and educate and engage the next generation of practitioners and audiences. For over 100 years, the Wing has been an integral part of the American theatrical community, providing critical support and recognition that has allowed the theatre to thrive.

The mission of the San Diego African American Museum of Fine Art (SDAAMFA) is to present and preserve the art of African Americans globally and to broaden the knowledge and understanding of the visual arts in Southeastern California generally and San Diego specifically by collecting, preserving and displaying works of art by and about African Americans; by creating and hosting quality traveling exhibitions; by collecting and preserving fine art and by developing and helping to foster an appreciation of art through meaningful public programs, symposia, and other educational programs.
