The Samaritans (Central London Branch)

Central London Samaritans is the only support service in London open round the clock, every day of the year. Every year we receive over 100,000 calls for help. Our volunteers provide a safe space for people to talk to us about whatever's troubling them. Our callers are often distressed and experiencing despair and suicidal feelings. People call us to be heard, to work through their problems and find to positive outcomes that work for them.

INTER CARE LTD

Inter Care's mission is to save lives and alleviate suffering through the provision of surplus medical resources to rural partner health units in sub-Saharan Africa Inter Care Aims to collect surplus health care goods and medicines for the two-fold purpose of medical waste reduction and to send regular consignments of vital medical aid to over 100 rural health units across five sub-Saharan African countries We send quality surplus medicines and health care goods to rural health units serving the most disadvantaged patients in Sierra Leone, Ghana, Tanzania and Malawi. Inter Care send vital medical aid which is donated to us by pharmaceutical companies, medical wholesalers and healthcare professionals to beneficiary health units in sub-Saharan Africa. We support around 100 health units which include Hospitals, clinics, prisons, centres for disabled and vulnerable children, and palliative care units. In total, these serves a total catchment area of over 11 million.

Fountain of Life

Fountain of Life is dedicated to bringing an affordable, sustainable source of safely managed water to those in need. While many NGOs overlook the family unit to focus on constructing community wells, the primary focus of our work is centred on offering individuals and/or families the ability to own their own borehole, which creates not only dignity but long-term sustainability and self-sufficiency. Our on-plot pumps provide readily accessible water for drinking, cooking, washing, cleaning, etc. and it means no longer having to rely on contaminated open community wells which are often located far from the home.
