Bells of Freedom provides an avenue for everyday people to connect with members of our United States armed forces to show appreciation through financial and emotional support of our serving young men, women and families of the military.
Freedom of the Press Foundation (FPF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that protects, defends, and empowers public-interest journalism in the 21st century. The organization works to preserve and strengthen First and Fourth Amendment rights guaranteed to the press through a variety of avenues, including the development of encryption tools, documentation of attacks on the press, training in newsrooms on digital security practices, and advocacy for the the public's right to know.
Freedom Hills is in its 36th year of providing low or no cost therapy services for the Challenged Population of our area. We have seen first hand and have documentation of how well this therapy works for these individuals. With the assistance of a trained staff, volunteer therapists and aides, Physician referrals we are able to provide this. We also take in and rehabilitate rescued ponies and horses. We work with At Risk youth as both riders and volunteers. We have a Senior Citizen Program. Our funding is mostly through donations although we do have several fund raisers a year and are looking for grant writers.
Kids Against Hunger is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to significantly reduce the number of undernourished children in the United States and to feed starving children throughout the world. Since its launch, Kids Against Hunger has provided over two billion meals for children and their families in more than 70 countries through the efforts of hundreds of thousands of volunteers. Our highly nutritious rice-soy casserole is fortified with 21 essential vitamins and 9 minerals in addition to our Fiesta Rice meal and Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal. These protein and nutrient-rich formulas reverse the starvation process and improves physical health as well as a child's mental capacity to learn. The goal of the organization is for its meals to provide a nutritional base from which recipient families can move their families to self-sufficiency.
WFSD is dedicated to providing free service canines to Veterans struggling from combat-related post traumatic stress while reconnecting them to the life they fought for.
The Freedom from Fistula Foundation (FFFF) manages and funds projects that deliver maternal health care to vulnerable girls and women across Africa. The foundation treats and cares for those suffering from obstetric fistula by offering free surgeries, free maternity care, safe childbirth and provides programs aimed at prevention, social and psychological support and economic empowerment to those affected. The overall goal of the organization is to completely eradicate obstetric fistulas for women and girls in Africa. The key objectives of the FFFF are: To expand or develop fistula services in Africa, particularly in Kenya, Malawi, Sierra Leone and Madagascar. To finance access to healthcare during pregnancy and labor and to help prevent obstetric fistulas from occurring. To provide education and empowerment to fistula patients. To partner with other organizations and local facilities to improve fistula and maternity care.
