MaxLove Project is a Santa Ana, California based nonprofit organization with a mission to increase the quality of life and reduce health risks for all children surviving cancer, both in treatment and beyond. We empower families fighting childhood cancers and related life-threatening conditions with quality of life care, fierce foods, whole-body wellness resources, education and research. We believe that true health starts when families are empowered to be active partners in their child’s healing. At MaxLove Project, we invest in hope. Today, nearly 80% of all children diagnosed with some cancers survive beyond 5 years. While this is great news for many, the fight for most is never over. Researchers now know that the treatments that save lives also increase later risks for serious, life-threatening illnesses. These health risks are lifelong, increase with age, and can result in early death. This is why we’re kickstarting our own wellness revolution, one specifically for kids and families fighting cancer and the lifelong effects of cancer treatment. MaxLove Project’s mission is to empower families fighting childhood cancers and related life-threatening conditions with quality of life care, fierce foods, whole-body wellness resources, education and research. We believe that true health starts when families are empowered to be active partners in their child’s healing.
TRUE NORTH TREKS is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower young adults and caregivers affected by cancer to "find direction through connection." One of the primary ways we do this is by taking groups on free backpacking and canoeing treks in beautiful and remote wilderness destinations where they can engage in three crucial connections that are missing from conventional cancer care: 1) connection with nature (after going through something as unnatural as cancer treatment), 2) connection with peers who get it and have walked a similar path, and 3) connection with oneself through mindful awareness practices, such as meditation and yoga.
The Jennifer Ireland Foundation Inc., established in 2007 in accordance with IRS section 501©3 guidelines, is a not for profit corporation. Our mission is to honor Jennifer’s life and her courageous fight with colon cancer by providing financial grants to cancer patients and their families. Motivated by this mission, JIF is a unique foundation providing direct support to families. With a thorough but streamlined application process we are able to provide quick aid in paying those financial obligations that tend to stack up quickly during the toughest of times for families dealing with cancer. At the same time, we can do it in the name of a woman that has inspired many to embrace life and its many challenges. Cancer has affected each and every one of us in so many ways, but embracing the positives and supporting those stricken with the disease can boost hope when it is most needed. Many organizations fundraise to support efforts in the search for a cure to countless types of cancers. While we understand and support those efforts, JIF wants to help those families in the thick of the disease fighting each day for the next day with their loved ones.
