Helping kids cope with cancer… Mikey’s Way. Our Mission at Mikey’s Way Foundation is to enrich the lives of children suffering from cancer and other life threatening illnesses. The Foundation strives to create CONNECTION and DIVERSION to help children cope with the emotional and physical hardships of long term, debilitating treatment. We accomplish this with the use of today’s technology – laptop computers, tablets, iPod Touch and other Wi-Fi ready electronics. We distribute these electronic gifts using both our Mikey’s Way Day and Mikey’s Wish List Programs.
We create dream bedrooms for children with cancer. This is a place that only the child can dream or imagine while addressing their medical needs. Our focus is answering one question; where does a child go when battling a serious illness to find peace and comfort? Special Spaces was founded in July 2004 on the precedent that children battling life-threatening illnesses, such as cancer, need their own special space. This is a place of hope and inspiration, and a special place to find peace and comfort. As of today, Special Spaces has created over 1,100 bedrooms across the country.

Enriching the lives of young adults ages 18-24 and their families fighting cancer. Young adults, ages 18-24, have very specific concerns when they are diagnosed with cancer. This is a time in their lives when they want to meet others and form close relationships. It's a time when they want to focus on school, careers, and starting families. Instead their time is spent in treatment at children's hospitals, where they most certainly feel it's a step backwards. Cancer robs them of the cherished independence their peers enjoy. Some wishes celebrate the completion of treatment. Some are for taking a needed break from treatment to rejuvenate for the continued fight. And, some are a last wish to spend the remaining precious time with loved ones. Typically, a Nik's Wish grant will cost $6000. Our amazing Wish Coordinators work directly with the young adults and their families to create awesome experiences filled with joy, love, and FUN! The memories created are priceless for the entire family. Read the testimonials from some of the families

At Turner's Heroes, we are strong believers that every patient is a Superhero; all we do is provide the capes! Our first mission is to support pediatric patients in the children's hospital setting through superhero-themed, cape-decorating events. Our second mission is to facilitate engagement and support for patients within their communities. This is done through "Hero Days" where communities come together to dedicate a day to patients while fundraising and garnering support for patients in their community. Finally, we fundraise for a cure for pediatric cancer through the funding of Discovery Grants: innovative $50,000 grants that find new ways to combat pediatric cancer.
