Miami Is Kind Foundation

The mission of Miami Is Kind is to provide employment and educational opportunities for young adults with autism DD through employment in a real business setting. Our strategy is creating partnerships with local bakeries & schools. Miami Is Kind, with direct coaching education and employment, is an industrial bakery and the first factory for professionals with autism DD in South Florida. Miami Is Kind started in October 2015 with two bakers and today employs six bakers that work alongside other typically developed employees. Our goal is employing 20 bakers by 2020.

We empower people to push for change in the fashion industry. We inform through media, education and policy initiatives. We are here to help people learn about 1) the clothing they purchase, 2) the after-life of their clothes; and 3) what questions to ask brands, politicians and themselves about clothing and the fashion industry. TNFI recognizes that the fashion industry must stop the exploitation of workers and the planet and in fact can be a positive agent of change in the world.

MOMENTA is the living fulfillment of its mission: To produce and present high quality concerts of dance, music and theatre to diverse audiences – local, metropolitan, state-wide, national and international. To achieve this mission, we have the following goals: to bring our audiences a repertoire of historic dances that exemplify the wealth of our American dance heritage; to provide creative opportunities and employment for Chicago area dancers, musicians, composers and choreographers to perform in and to create new works; to educate young artists in performing skills, choreography and dance history by giving them opportunities to experience these directly; and to physically integrate our company by including dancers and choreographers with disabilities in our performances
