Careers through Culinary Arts Program

Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP) works with public schools across the country to prepare underserved high school students for college and career opportunities in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Our multi-pronged approach offers a comprehensive support system that includes culinary skill-building activities, college and career advising and placement, a robust scholarship fund, alumni counseling, and professional development for high school culinary teachers.

Justice Rising International

We believe that education is the most powerful tool to build peace and to break the cycle of war. We also believe that every child, regardless of circumstance, should have access to a quality education.Justice Rising builds peace in war-affected communities by providing quality education to children at risk. We build schools, train teacher leaders, and develop community programs towards the goal of promoting peace and mitigating future conflict.

Puente Learning Center

PUENTE’s mission is stated within its name: People United to Enrich the Neighborhood Through Education. “Puente” is also the Spanish word for “bridge.” Since 1985, the organization has offered a bridge to opportunity by addressing barriers preventing individuals in its at-risk neighborhoods from building strong educational foundations and achieving financial self-sufficiency. PUENTE provides California Standards-aligned classroom instruction to more than 4,100 children, youth, and adults annually. Its tuition-free services address the needs of the entire family – enabling children to develop a life-long love of learning, helping parents to be their children’s first teachers, supporting youth as they move toward high school graduation, and assisting adults in need of English-language competency and workforce skills.

California School Age Consortium

Since 1982, the California School-Age Consortium has worked to support and advance professionals and organizations in providing quality and affordable out-of-school time programs. Our vision is that out-of-school time will be a public priority throughout California. Through our leadership, out-of-school time professionals and programs will be valued like teachers and schools as an essential service supported by government, business and community resources. We accomplish our mission through a focus on: Connecting professionals; Enhancing competency; and Building a community. We approach our work with a commitment to: Developing high quality, equity driven leaders; Enhancing local capacity and sustainability; and Building a collective and influential voice. We provide an array of free and low cost services including: Training and professional development, leadership development and advocacy.

The African SOUP, Inc.

The African SOUP's Vision is to transform the lives of Ugandan youth through education system reform. The African SOUP leads a national education reform effort through Active Learning and provides educational opportunities to vulnerable children in rural eastern Uganda. The African SOUP School utilizes the following strategies to fulfill our vision: The African SOUP Model School Secondary Enrichment Program The Active Learning Project Baby SOUP SOUP Model School Mission: To educate, nurture, and inspire scholars to unleash their potential and that of their community. Vision: The African SOUP School will become the premier active learning model school in Uganda Active Learning Project Mission: To improve the quality of primary education across Uganda through the implementation of active learning. Vision: The African SOUP's Active Learning Project will bring active learning into every primary classroom and teacher training college in Uganda. Secondary Enrichment Program Mission: To provide secondary scholarship support, mentorship and leadership training to African SOUP School Alumni so that they develop the skills needed to meet their potential and transform their community. Vision: The African SOUP's Secondary Enrichment Program will produce leaders who will transform their community. Baby SOUP Mission: To serve vulnerable children and pregnant mothers by providing health education, growth monitoring, and nutritional supplements to ensure holistic child development. Vision: The African SOUP Emma's Baby SOUP Program envisions a future where every child has the ability to survive and thrive in Namutumba District. Sustainability Mission: To cover all organizational operating costs through local, income-generating projects. Vision: The African SOUP will become a financially independent and secure Ugandan NGO.

Global Learning K 12

Our mission is to educate and enrich the minds of our youth through 12 unique initiatives. Global learning k-12 works with students, teachers and coaches in Kindergarten through high school and into college.
