Carversville Farm Foundation is a non-profit that grows fresh food specifically for donation to local communities in need. We run a certified organic farm where we raise top-quality vegetables, poultry, beef and eggs, and we donate over ninety percent of our harvests to Philadelphia-area soup kitchens and food pantries. In 2021, we gave more than 145,000 pounds of food, including pastured poultry and grass-fed beef and a wide variety of fresh produce. We also sustain the environment through our rigorous organic farming practices and train future farmers through our apprentice program.
Our mission is to promote local resilience and adaptation holistically in an uncertain world, through education, distribution, and cultivation, with particular attention to food security.

We serve a hot, nutritious meal to the homeless and hungry of the Lynchburg area, 365 days a year. Centrally located in downtown Lynchburg, we serve approximately 300-550 meals per day.Because 800+ pounds of food are donated every day, we now bring excess meals 1-2x per week to various locations that are too far to walk to us. The Meals Outreach Program includes Madison Heights, Appomattox, Altavista, Bedford and low-income/senior apartments in out-lying areas of Lynchburg. In 2021, we served 133,2598 meals - more than ever before in our 39 year history. Please help us to support these hundreds of families and seniors.
F.O.R. (Food, Opportunity and Resources) Maricopa has been in existence since 2007, making an immediate impact in a city founded in 2003 that saw its population and needs explode in just a few short years. What began as an effort to feed and aid just a few families – first out of the trunks of cars via home delivery and then by pickup at a local grocery store parking lot – has evolved into a full-fledged resource center and food bank. On an average week, F.O.R. Maricopa, now housed in a building on the east side of town, serves 500 families, and that number is sure to continue to grow.
Working together to feed the hungry in our community, The Food Pantries for the Capital District is a coalition of more than 64 food pantries located in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady Counties. Annually, The Food Pantries helps fund, collect, and deliver 1,464 tons of food for our member food pantries, which helps provide food for approximately 3.2 million meals. We also support our member pantries by providing service coordination, education, training, opportunities for networking, and infant needs and holiday meals programs. Established in 1979, The Food Pantries for the Capital District is a 501 (c) (3). For more information on our programs, or how you can help, please visit www.thefoodpantries.org.
