DC Central Kitchen develops innovative social ventures to break the cycle of hunger and poverty. The three end goals that drive our work are to create opportunities for meaningful careers, expand healthy food access and test innovative solutions to systemic problems.

WE BUILD AND INVEST IN PROGRAMS THAT CULTIVATE AND INSPIRE THE NEXT GENERATION OF PRODUCERS, CONSUMERS, AND ADVOCATES FOR THE PENNSYLVANIA DAIRY INDUSTRY.

Food for All NYC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was created with an aim to redistribute excess fresh foods from schools, grocery stores, and delis to those in need around New York City. We utilize food pantries, community meal centers, and community fridges around New York City as they help us push our vision of a healthier, more collaborative, and less wasteful city.

Mission Statement: To serve the poor in Mexico, and further the Kingdom of God through worship and intercession. Voice of the Bride "Worship and Compassion" Ministries exists for two purposes. We are committed to serving the poor and needy, specifically in Mexico. Daily, we are either picking up donated food supplies for distribution in Tijuana, or distributing food and other items to those in need in the poorer parts of Tijuana. This includes orphanages, rehabs, elderly homes, women's shelters, infirmaries, and various street outreaches, where many people hear the Gospel, as well as receive food for their families. VOB is also committed to furthering the Kingdom of GOD through worship and intercession, believing that prayer and worship 'grease the wheels' of mission work. VOB has sponsored and led worship in several targeted worship and intercession events. We have led worship at various outreaches in Tijuana, and are holding regular worship events in San Diego, designed to encourage people to spend extended time before the Lord in worship and prayer, and, specifically, to extend GOD's Kingdom on behalf of the nations through worship and intercession.

To grow hope in our region by creating pathways to nutritious food.

In 2014, the Mid-North Food Pantry was awarded a grant from the Indy Hunger Network for modifications to the building to allow full pallets of food (called “totes”) to be taken directly from the elevator to the pantry store room using a pallet jack. Previously, a full pallet of food would have to be handled several times by volunteers to move through doorways too small for a pallet to go through. MNFP is now able to purchase full totes from Gleaners Food Bank at a cost of 6 cents per pound. A tote can hold several hundred pounds of food and includes everything from cereal to meat.  A full tote costs about $20.

The West Suburban Community Pantry offers food for the hungry and resources to empower persons to improve their quality of life. Our vision is a community without hunger.

Katie's Krops is to empower youth to start and maintain vegetable gardens of all sizes and donate the harvest to help feed people in need, as well as to assist and inspire others to do the same.

Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley helps members of our community successfully meet the challenges of daily life by providing quality human services. 

Through community outreach and involvement, sustain a viable and dependable food bank which provides ample nutritious food to serve community members in need with dignity and respect.

Bread for the World Institute provides policy analysis on hunger and strategies to end it. The Institute educates opinion leaders, policy makers, and the public about hunger in the United States and abroad.
