Lost-N-Found Youth is an Atlanta-based 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to end homelessness for all LGBTQ+ youth by providing them with the skills and support needed to live independently. We operate a 24/7 hotline at 678-856-7825, emergency beds, a food pantry, drop-in center which offers showers, food, laundry and case management, a thrift store and educational programing. Lost-n-Found Youth is Atlanta’s only nonprofit agency actively working to take homeless LGBTQ youth off the street. Everything that we do at Back Bay Mission stems from our mission: strengthening neighborhoods, seeking justice, transforming lives.We strengthen neighborhoods through nine initiatives: the Micah Center (Day Center for the Homeless), Home at Last, (Permanent Supportive Housing), Rental Assistance, Emergency Assistance (Includes Food Choice Food Pantry) Community Health Worker Project, Bridges Out of Poverty education, Housing Recovery and Home Port (Housing for Veterans) Our programs are seeking justice by providing a way forward for those caught in generational poverty, those experiencing the devastation of life traumas and those who are victims of poor life choices. These programs assist the people we serve become contributing citizens in their communities, An annual average of 800 volunteers take what they learn at Back Bay Mission home with them where they have the opportunity to strengthen their own neighborhoods efforts in justice seeking. Justice seeking means supporting the people we serve in becoming more involved in their communities, educating people about the realities of poverty, and advocating on behalf of marginalized people..All of our programs transform lives. Whether we're helping a homeowner keep their home, mentoring a single mother as she plans her path out of poverty, or working with an intern who is thinking about a career in social work, we're making the lives of the people we serve better. The Homeless Garden Project provides job training, transitional employment and support services to people who are homeless. Haven of Rest is an organization located in Anderson County, SC that helps men and women who struggle with life-dominating issues, such as drug and alcohol addiction or homelessness. Haven of Rest provides meals for the hungry, a safe place to sleep, and teaches men and women how to live a healthy, productive life in his/her community. Haven of Rest equips men and women to become productive citizens by offering a year-long program that includes life-skills training, addiction recovery, educational assistance, job training, and more, all at no cost to them. Haven of Rest operates 5 thrift stores with all revenue generated from these thrift stores funding Haven's men and women's recovery programs.
Hope on Haven Hill is a 501(c)3, charitable, nonprofit, 24 hour residential facility for pregnant women with substance use disorder and their newborns for up to a year postpartum. On site comprehensive group and individual addiction treatment services are provided in a safe, nurturing environment, taking into consideration the need for trauma informed, gender based treatment. Co-occurring mental health disorders are addressed as well with individual counseling. Childbirth education, nurturing parenting classes, mindfulness training along with yoga, art therapy and life skills coaching are integral parts of our phased programming. Hope on Haven Hill is located in Rochester, New Hampshire and services all of New Hampshire as well as bordering towns.
