KNOX WATERLOO PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH WATERLOO

Knox Church is situated in Uptown Waterloo. Our neighbours are the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery, the Waterloo Public Library and the Waterloo Town Square shopping mall. Two universities, Waterloo and Sir Wilfrid Laurier are within walking distance. Our congregation is a wonderful mix of all ages and stages. With over 100 children in the church school program, we have a strong emphasis on ministry with children. It is one of our goals as a congregation to grow in our sense of belonging to Christ and His Church. Our services are informal and friendly to the various ages and approaches to worship. We try to make new worshipers feel welcome. Our Coffee Fellowship between Sunday services provides an informal time to get to know others. Look for our Welcome desk during coffee hour to help answer any questions you may have.

KNOX UNITED CHURCH

The heart of Winnipeg’s newcomer community is Central Park. And the heart of Central Park is Knox Church. Knox has been an integral part of the revitalization of the neighbourhood and the restoration of the park itself, through initiatives such as Central Market for Global Families and the Rainbow Community Garden. Now we are pleased to announce the creation of a new, 24-hour accessible commercial kitchen, which, when completed, will be available for community members to use to develop and expand on catering opportunities that might otherwise be cost prohibitive. Additional programs will include nutrition and cooking classes for women, men and youth, and cultural dinners. To date we have raised over $350,000 through generous grants from:The WPG Foundation,CPP(Province of MB),The City of WPG, CentreVenture, Blannerhassett Foundation and MB Community Services Council. But we are not quite at our goal! Another $50,000 will allow us to complete this valuable commercial kitchen.
