The purpose of the MVCA is to protect water and related resources for present and future generations. The activities of the MVCA are driven by local municipalities, landowners and community organizations. We are committed to providing effective community-based conservation services in a cost efficient manner. We're excited to be launching Footprints to Forests, a new fund that enables donors to calculate their carbon footprint and then compensate for annual Green House Gas emissions by planting trees. Trees help to reduce the impacts of climate change and also provide benefits such as biodiversity and improved water quality. Donations to the Carbon Footprints to Forests program will be used to plant trees in Conservation Areas in the Maitland watershed. Visit www.footprintstoforests to calculate your carbon footprint. Donors are welcome to compensate for their whole carbon footprint or a portion of it. We welcome smaller donations, every tree counts!

Three things to know about MCBC First, we emphasize the Bible. The Bible is not an archaic book; it is God’s revelation of Himself to mankind. For this reason, our doctrine, ministries and practices are built on the commands and principles laid out in God’s Word. As individuals, we seek to build our homes, families and lives on the same firm foundation. Second, we place great emphasis on the gospel. We firmly believe that 2000 years ago God became a man in the form of Jesus Christ. He lived a sinless life, died, was buried and rose again to conquer the grave. His sacrifice on our behalf gives mankind hope of eternal life. Finally, we emphasize the family. It is essential for believers to practice their Christian faith within their homes, and to build their families around the Word of God. We also believe God designed His church to be a family unit. We strive to maintain a close-knit body of believers in which people from all walks of life are accepted and loved.
