The Ovarian Cancer Connection (OCC) is an organization that aims to provide awareness, education, and support for women with gynecologic cancers, including ovarian cancer. We strive to empower women affected by these cancers by offering resources, information, and a supportive community. We work to educate women and healthcare professionals about the importance of early detection and the available screening options. By increasing awareness, we hope to improve the chances of early diagnosis and better treatment outcomes. In addition to awareness, the OCC provides education to women and their families about gynecologic cancers. We also strive to keep our community updated on the latest research and advancements in the fields. Support is a crucial aspect of the OCC's mission. We aim to provide emotional support, guidance, and resources to women facing gynecologic cancers. We have a support group, survivorship programs, and educational events. These initiatives create a sense of community and help women connect with others who have similar experiences. Overall, the Ovarian Cancer Connection is dedicated to improving the lives of women with gynecologic cancers through awareness, education, and support. We work tirelessly to empower women to advocate for their own health, seek timely medical attention, and make informed decisions throughout their cancer journey.T
Gastric Cancer Foundation is a national non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by gastric cancer and working with leading researchers to find a cure. Gastric Cancer Foundation grew out of one brave patient’s personal journey. When our founder, JP Gallagher, was diagnosed with gastric cancer in 2007, he was a busy 37-year old professional with a young and growing family. In fact, his wife was pregnant with their third child. His diagnosis was both shocking and frightening, and JP immediately began searching for information and hope. Both were in short supply. At the time, there was no centralized resource of information, and what was available offered little hope. JP’s difficult experience – and his recognition of a need for information and encouragement for all stomach cancer patients – became the seed of an idea that grew into the Gastric Cancer Foundation.
