Coalition Against Cancer (CAC2) is a collaborative network of organizations and individuals who support and serve the childhood cancer community. CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O.The mission of CAC2 is to foster and sustain greater levels of coordinated action, information exchange, learning, and broad-based collaboration through agreed-upon initiatives in four areas: research and treatment, family services, awareness building, and advocacy. CAC2 works to benefit the childhood cancer community - including both its membership and childhood cancer patients, survivors, and their families - through greater levels of coordinated action that leverage the unique strengths and expertise of its members, minimizing waste of precious resources in order to drive better outcomes for childhood cancer patients and their families.
The mission of the Anchorage Young Cancer Coalition is to provide emotional support and empowerment through building community, improving quality of life and providing meaningful survivorship to those affected by young adult cancer. Our vision is no survivor alone.

We are not a chapter of the American Cancer Society; therefore, all donations received are used to support our mission of providing cancer-related prescriptions, travel reimbursement, and medical supplies/equipment. We receive grants from the Community Foundation, Danville Regional Foundation, J.T. Minnie Maude Charitable Trust, the Centra Foundation, and we are a part of the “Get Healthy Dan River” program of the United Way of Danville and Pittsylvania County. We not only offer financial assistance, but offer support groups to give those affected by cancer, including survivors, caregivers, and those actively receiving treatment.
