Since 2000, Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks (BCFO) has provided help and hope to families facing breast cancer. Located in southwest Missouri, BCFO works with local communities to improve breast cancer screening rates and provide breast cancer families with the financial and emotional support they need.
The Cancer Association,organized in 1967 as an all volunteer agency providing services to indigent cancer victims, changed its focus in 1970 to "provide services to all cancer victims in need" rather than just the indigent. Cancer is non-exclusive with respect to race, sex, age, religion or financial situation and can devastate a family financially as well as emotionally. The other focus of the Cancer Association is to educate the community on the risks of developing cancer and the simple lifestyle changes that can be made to greatly reduce those risks.

The Global Resource for Advancing Cancer Education (GRACE) provides expert-mediated information on current and emerging cancer management options in order to empower patients, caregivers, and health professionals to become direct partners in cancer care.
BCCCPA helps families struggling financially with a child with cancer by providing them with Financial Aid. BCCCPA’s Directors are made up of parents of children going through cancer, have gone through cancer treatment, or are bereaved parents of children with cancer in the past. At BCCCPA, we: - Fundraise to enhance the quality of life for children with cancer & their families. - Advocate for research into childhood cancer. - Raise awareness & support for children with cancer & their families. - Represent parents of children with cancer from across BC. - Lobby provincially & federally for improved support to parents. - Promote transparency & accountability from organizations who raise support for children with cancer & their families. BCCCPA works with BC Children’s Hospital & Surrey Memorial’s Pediatric Oncology Department. Families in need are recognized and determined by social workers at the hospitals.
