Achieving public awareness about the importance of helping families with cancer in Costa Rica. mission 1-Achieving the dream of diagnosed children: with cancer, waiting for a transplant, or with a terminal illness. 3.- Provide financial support to families who have a child diagnosed with cancer; attended and treated in any hospital in the country. 3.-Improve the quality of life of child cancer survivors with significant side effects. 4-Provide support, psychological and spiritual to the families that go through this process. We want to raise awareness about the current situation of families undergoing treatment to fight childhood cancer.
The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund is dedicated to supporting research and education that furthers early detection, prevention, and treatment of prostate, colon and stomach cancers. Our philosophy stems from the notion that "Knowledge Equals Power."To date we have raised over $2,000,000 and have donated to cancer charities, including $217,000 to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, and over $450,000 to the T.J. Martell Foundation/ Vanderbilt Hospital and to UCLA's School of Dentistry to support their ongoing research into early detection technologies and for the treatment and cure of prostate, colon and stomach cancers. The Trust provides financial assistance to help purchase medication, wigs, prothesis, etc. during their first year of diagnosis with Breast Cancer.
The mission of the ZMGF is to assist those Universities with Pet Oncology Departments in finding the cause and hence the cure for cancer in pets. We accomplish this by vetting and visiting each University and taking a tour of its Pet Oncology Department. After the initial steps are taken and the University passes muster, we monitor our contributions by asking for and receiving progress reports. In this way we can ensure you that your donations are going for their intended purpose to find out why so many pets get cancer and to find a cure
