Freedom for Immigrants is devoted to abolishing immigration detention, while ending the isolation of people currently suffering in this profit-driven system. We visit and monitor 55 immigrant prisons and jails, and we run the largest national hotline for detained immigrants. Through these windows into the system, we gather data and stories to combat injustice at the individual level and push systemic change.
Operation Freedom Paws empowers veterans and others with disabilities to live a quality life by teaching them to train their own dogs, and certifying them as service dog teams. The dogs, usually from rescue organizations or shelters, are carefully evaluated. Each is then matched to a specific client’s physical and psychological needs. There is no charge – all we ask is a commitment to complete the 48-week training program.
At Freedom Service Dogs, we unleash the potential of shelter dogs by transforming them into custom-trained, life-changing assistance dogs for people in need. Our clients include children, veterans and active duty military, and other adults. Freedom Greyhound Rescue, Inc., is a 501c3 organization consisting of a group of dedicated, hard-working volunteers that share a love for greyhounds and a love for their community. Their passion and devotion has made it possible for this organization to be formed. Their vision is the help retired racing greyhounds reach their forever homes, taking them from the track, to house, to loving home. They are totally dedicated to giving back to the community that supports our efforts through education, awareness, and public involvement with their dogs.
Araminta Freedom Initiative reduces the threat of child sex trafficking—the buying and selling of minors for the purpose of sexual exploitation—and restores the mind, body and spirit of those who have survived the trauma of modern slavery.A member of the Maryland Human Trafficking Task Force, we develop and implement educational initiatives and local prevention plans with churches, schools and communities, while providing individualized, restorative services to victims of child sex trafficking using trauma-informed, evidenced-based models.
The mission of Freedom Sings USA is to help veterans, active duty military and their families throughout the country reach emotional balance by telling their stories through the creative process of songwriting. Songwriting, along with peer support, helps provide veterans and their families the tools necessary to cope with trauma or readjustment from military service. Our mission is to also promote public support, education and appreciation for the sacrifice the veterans and their families make serving our country through the hearing of their stories as told through song.
The Freedom Cafe of Durham is a non-profit specialty café dedicated to ending human trafficking and the commercial exploitation of all people. The café provides a collaborative space that invites the local community to take ownership and action toward a traffic-free world. Through presentations, discussion groups and community events, we seek to educate local citizens about the complexities of the issue and its root causes, the actions necessary for preventing it, and ways to support reputable organizations working to bring about a world where all people are free.
Christian Freedom International (CFI) aids, equips and advocates for Christians who are oppressed or persecuted for their faith. CFI provides spiritual and physical help for suffering Christians to live in the dignity of God’s love and rise above their circumstances. CFI offers ways for Christians to ease the burdens of persecuted Christians through prayer, action, and giving, including emergency and disaster relief, Bible distribution, medical assistance, refugee aid, food, clothing, shelter, education, scholarships, pastor assistance, aid to the disabled, asylum case-work, and vocational training. CFI sponsors schools, children, pastors, and families.
