Did you know that people are 30% more likely to donate when there is a goal attached? But before you add a goal to your next fundraiser, make sure to keep these things in mind:
For long-term campaigns, you can always change your donor goal. Be sure to share and celebrate reaching your first goal, then encourage your base to share the fundraiser with friends to reach the new goal, along with what additional impact that’ll bring!
Choose a goal that’s a stretch, but also not impossible to hit. If you get a grant or large donor amounts, you can add in toward the end of a fundraiser to bump the total to your goal amount.
You always add donations made outside of the Pledge Platform via Offline Donations. Learn how here.
You can also create non-monetary goals, including how many donors you want to reach, how many event attendees donate, etc.
Keep your donors motivated by sharing updates! If you want to reach a certain number of new donors, tap your existing donor network and ask them to share with friends and family. You never know until you ask!
