THE FOUNDATION IS COMMITTED TO REDUCING THE INCIDENCE OF SUICIDE BY HELPING THOSE WHO SUFFER FROM DEPRESSION AND OTHER MENTAL ILLNESSES THROUGH OUR SUPPORT OF: MENTAL HEALTH RESEARCH; ADVOCACY FOR MENTAL HEALTHCARE PARITY; INCREASED ACCESS TO TREATMENT AND CARE FOR THOSE WHO SUFFER, AND EFFORTS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT SUICIDE PREVENTION.

Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services (DHMHS) transforms lives by providing quality mental health, substance use and suicide prevention services in communities where stigma or poverty limits access.

We lost Adam to suicide in 2023. By starting a 501c3 suicide prevention non-profit, our mission is to learn from loss and save lives through fundraising, education and outreach. Adam impacted many people with his incredible sense of humor and musical talent. We aim to honor his love for music and laughter in our work to bring light and love to others.

They aim to nurture mental wellness and prevent suicide by serving as a link to integrative care of mind, body and spirit. We serve as advocates with our collaborative network of resources, community engagement and cost assistance programs.

The Johnny Foundation seeks to raise awareness of depression in the hopes of preventing suicides through fund raising and awareness events and be an encouragement to others as we seek to shine God's light in the darkness that so many people struggle with .

The mission of Brendan’s Smile Foundation is to empower institutions to protect and treat students with mental illness by raising awareness and prevention through education, public policy and legislation all while improving crisis services and advancing suicide prevention by empowering individuals, advancing professional best practices, building awareness and offering in-depth outreach education.

To reach out and offer support to people of all ages and backgrounds during times of crisis, to work to prevent the suicide of those who are actively suicidal, and to offer hope and caring during times of hopelessness. Founded in 1966, Crisis Support Services of Alameda County offers a broad range of counseling, education and prevention services in a safe environment. CSS’ 24-hour crisis hotline responds to more than 65,000 calls each year. Services include on-going therapy groups, school-based counseling, supportive services for seniors, suicide prevention for youth; and community education. Crisis Support Services of Alameda County recognizes and understands the impact of trauma including the challenge of accessing supportive services. Serving others through various avenues in order to reduce the rate of suicide as well as support those who’ve struggled with depression and/or lost a loved one to suicide. Formerly known as The Lotus Project.

THE MISSION OF FORGOTTEN NOT GONE IS "STOMPING OUT VETERAN SUICIDE"We accomplish this by getting Veterans physically and socially active within society. Too many Veterans isolate, shutting off the outside world until it is too late. #TooDamnMany Veterans are taking their own lives each day in America. We find that physical activity is one of the surest ways to get Veterans engaged back into a healthy active social life. We Provide and Maintain a Fleet of Velomobile Recumbent trikes (3 and 4 Wheel Bicycles, some with electric assist) FREE of charge to ride for our local Veterans to #GetOutTheDamnHouse and learn to live life #StigmaFree. #FNG is Proactive in Veteran Suicide Prevention by addressing the triggers of suicide and WHY it’s happening.

It is the mission of First H.E.L.P. to reduce mental health stigma through education, advocate for benefits for those suffering from post-traumatic stress, acknowledge the service and sacrifice of first responders we lost to suicide, assist responders in their search for healing, and to bring awareness to suicide and mental health issues.
